    I am no master of words but I can sketch up a little bit of a design and some points, using what I've seen from an application on Annie's characters and some other things we can safely assume about demons. As to get rid of confusion. Of course even if it was accepted, it wont place specific hardened boundaries on everyone, just ideals that they can follow and use to get a better understanding of their demon characters as well as what might be a weakness.

    This is because of the recent addition of some demonic characters, including myself. I believe demons should start playing a big part in the server and could become a new antagonist. I mean honestly, vampires should not be the thing everyone hates and neither should Lycans. Demons are literally the most dangerous and destructive of all fable creatures, they are minions of the most evil being that could possibly exist(In a mythological sense.) and their power is fairly hysterical, depending on if they are a full demon or demon lord or not. But this is a tradeoff as the most powerful of demons are often the most hunted and the moment they show their liveliness to the public, they quite often become hunted by everyone around them, which is where a half demon or partial demon would have better chances of surviving long term, as they'd attract less attention.

    Demons and their traits:

    In General:

    Depending on the level of corruption, demons can sense eachother. They sense the corruption and connection to hell, the more corrupt a demon is, the stronger the pheromones. Unluckily for most fables and including lycans, unless they would have knowingly encountered a demon and their scent in a previous encounter, the scent would just be a mystery to them. Although many describe the scent as alluring and sweet, which is most strongest in a succubus oddly enough, even though they are a minion.


    Succubus(Minion):

    They look very much like a human, depending on their sex. They cannot change their appearance, but they can very well mutilate themselves if they have to as they will heal fairly quickly. When angered, in pain or in fear they go fairly pale and the more of these emotions they experience the paler they go. This physically barely effects them, but eventually when they look like a white sheet of paper, people start to question if they are actually human.

    They are minions or are either free, depending on their purpose. Although in the presence of a demon they are more inclined to be submissive, but generally speaking if they've been free for long, they can tell a full demon to take a hike. Half demons and partials have barely any authority over them though as they recognize their scent but would visually see them as human, which would just scream two words into their minds "ABOMINATION." and "FREAK.".

    Holy artifacts and blessed water damage the Succubus similarly to a first degree burn, in most cases it's barely damaging, pain being the only real factor here.

    They possess the same strength as a Sanguine Augustine and their speed would be that of a Fledgeling Augustine.

    They have the ability to influence the emotions and minds of humans, as well as fables, although fables are generally effected less. Primarily vampires are the least effected by a Succubus and their minds are less clouded. Of course the Succubus's main trait is seduction, so making someone extremely friendly and kind towards them, even though logic might dictate a complete opposite is their skill, although they will find some difficulty in getting someone to express emotions of anger or hatred, as in to get someone to kill a friend. These kind of actions of hatred or killing towards others would probably take a lot of coaxing and corrupting on the Succubus part as well as some break in will power on the victim.4

    They take around 1.2 times the amount of damage a human can take and generally speaking, a bullet/knife to the head or neck will kill them no matter what.

    They are slightly irritated by religious chants and it could be compared to having someone banging drums next to their ears, but if their motivated enough they can block it out and continue whatever battle/seduction they were doing.

    Demon Lord(Lord - Very Very Fast Healing):
    They are just a much stronger version of the full demon and act sort of as a necromancer. They can raise creatures like hell beasts and transform their bodies at will.

    Full Demon(Mini Lord - Very Fast Healing):
    Physically they are very large, like a behemoth, their skin is red and is like a hard chitin of an ant. When angry they become engulfed in flames, although that's all.

    Born from hell, a damned soul transformed into a minion of the devil. They are completely corrupted and in rare cases can find themselves(Like 1 out of 1000 demons) showing kind acts towards humans, which is where half demons can occur in a sort of weird romantic relationship. Although this only occurs when they out of hell and have prolonged exposure to humans, which can lower their level of corruption, but it's almost impossible to happen.

    They are as strong as a Veteran Augustine and as fast as a Sanguine Augustine. They are specifically not as fast as their children since they are so large and strong, their children being more of a jack of all trades because of the fact that with the smaller size from the human genes, they are much lighter, while still retaining some of the strength and power of a demon.

    They live for an eternity and are not effected by mortal diseases or aging.

    They can take about 5-10 7.62 rounds to the head, while their chest can withstand up to 20-40 rounds before they die. Although holy water will melt their hide and flesh away slowly, equal to that of tossing sulfuric acid onto a human.

    Slightly influenced by religious chants and it could be compared to a ringing sensation in their ears, which is not specifically painful so much as it's just disorientating, which can make their attacks more displaced and random.

    Half Demon(Minion - Fast Healing):
    Visibly they have a complete red skin, which can be concealed with makeup. When angry their eyes glow extremely bright and their skin crusts, their finger nails transforming into claws similar to that of a wolf, which makes them look very much like a full demon, although they'd be much smaller and physically they'd still be the same, except for their skin being slightly tougher. In this pissed off form though, they find themselves able to fight more efficiently, as it's sort of a blood lusting state.

    These are half demons, the offspring of a pure demon and a pure human. They are completely conflicting and their corruption is that of fifty percent. It is possible, although very unlikely to be one that is less corrupt as a half demon, although it'd require a lot of selflish actions and a devotion towards a more holy path. Even so, they'll kill for pleasure and without remorse, quite often going into a blood lusting state when they lose control of themselves, which will happen once in a while.

    They have the strength and speed of an Adept Nosferatu, which seems to be a good mix of speed and strength, except they aren't indestructible walls of flesh like their parent demon and are not too hard to kill.

    They can take about 5-10 7.62 rounds to the head, while their chest can withstand up to 20-30 rounds before they die. Although holy water will tear at their skin and cause second degree burns.

    They live for a few hundred years and are not effected by mortal diseases.

    Slightly effected by chants, although it's compared to just listening to really bad music, it barely disorientates.

    Partial Demon(Minion - Improved Healing):
    Physically they look like a regular human and their true selves only come out when angry. When angry, their skin goes a complete red and slightly hardens, but not as severely as a half demon. Their eyes glow red, but not too intensely and their nails crust as well.

    This is where a demon is a quarter or near that, where in case their father or grandfather was a half demon. They are more human then demon and have about the same self control over themselves as a Lycan in terms of their carnal nature. Many are very capable of living lives of serenity, although violence and killing will always be in their hearts like an addiction that stays with them from child to death.

    They can take about 1 7.62 round to the head but are most of the time knocked out from the impact of the blow or receive brain trauma, while their chest can withstand up to 4-6 rounds before they die. Although holy water will tear at their skin and cause second degree burns.

    They are, depending on their lineage are either equal to that of the speed and strength of a Sanguine Nosferatu or an Adept Nosferatu.

    They live for an average of about 100-170 years and are affected by mortal diseases as well as aging, but it's slowed.

    No effect from chants.

    Creature:

    This is just generally any creature, there is no limitations on this but generally speaking, anything this is a lesser of a demon is considered to be a minion like the succubus. Although anything that's specifically magical like a necromancer, will be classed as a Mini Lord.

    I'm also sure there's other demon enthusiasts on server who have some of their own ideas/modifications to something like this.

    This sort of conflicts with the written up lore for magic. I'm not 100% sure about of the magic lore is considered canon. I'm pretty sure it is.

    In the magic lore, demons are from the demon plane, not hell. They're beings without physical bodies until they go into the earth plane, which requires them to form a body.

    These seems like good ideas, but I'd talk with Major Tom about it seeing as how he helped write the magic lore. I'd also look at the magic lore post.

    To be honest, I dislike the demon plane thing though, I like the christian approach to demons. It's more interesting and a lot of movies go by that method, so it's not too confusing to think about. Although more to the point is that there's not much information about demons at all, their weaknesses or what they can do. There's no real ranking for them or - anything really. Also the church on the server would have actual purpose. Not that I am Christian myself, I'm a strong atheist, but it's still fun to do.

    It really is Tom's choice if he comments on here, but honestly I'd prefer this over what Tom did for magic. Otherwise the weaknesses I talked about no longer exist and I'd very much dislike that.

    Also this would also get rid of the corruption thing I wrote about. I'd love if partials and half demons had to struggle to be good or at least neutral, like the corruption would constantly try to consume them. I'd also enjoy seeing minions working for their lords. This would also put more of a fun tick on demons, right now they are pretty hard to understand and not the easiest things to play because everyone just assumes things, since there's no proper reference material.

    Also if I can do this I'll probably add absorption of a demon as to make it so that anyone who manages to kill a full demon or demon lord means you gain a magical power of some sort or a strength. Which can be good or bad, because it corrupts you temporarily as well, so dark fables wanting to not become twisted fucks might want to avoid that. Another note is if someone might absorb demonic power, it could make them a target for the Lord or their Minions.

    That's great-- but I'd still ask the admin team before just posting lore about something that's already been explained.

    The idea behind absorbing demon powers is also neat, but sounds terribly, terribly OP.

    Lol it's under suggestions man and the absorption thing is only there because of Annie. Although now that I think of it, it does sound OP. Perhaps killing a demon lord or mini lord gives you temporary added strength/speed, which might be like taking steroids without the harmful effects of steroids? But anyway I put this here because I want to start constructing lore, not force it on you guys, I made that point multiple times. I just want there to be SOME kind of proper lore behind demons as they will become a main source of protagonist eventually and a good source of neutral characters.

    But more importantly this relies on a sort of scale of corruption, it's like a power bar and the more powerful one is, the more corrupted they equally are. So there's a tradeoff on power, you become more evil and antagonistic, you lose things like freewill as a Lord and even though Lord's command, that's only because they are commanded to do so by Satan himself in a sense.

    I would like it if other people contributed and said, HEY, take that away. Or this is a good point, keep that! Or THIS IS ALL RUBBISH< I WILL DO IT FOR YOU. I wouldn't mind that last one :p.

    Once I get enough feedback and information about this as well as some inspiration from you guys to construct some proper ideas, I can delete this thread, save the text in a google doc and then construct a proper version to post here over the period of about 1-8 days, each day it being improved on in various sections.

    Also I hate bragging, I really fucking do and I do not want ANY of you to actually investigate about it. I'll just say that a few months ago, I had some plans for next year on top of the roleplay gamemode I intended to release this year for an Oceanic timezone(AKA not yours, so even if you wanted to play, I doubt you'd stay up from 12 midnight to 4 AM just to be on. No I am not here to steal your players, I like vampires and demons like the next man.). Anyway I'm not actually going to be using this doc since I made up a better idea for next years RP Gamemode, but in any case this is a good reference for what I can accomplish in two hours of writing and multitasking with porn.

    I'm not going to lie, I do like the general idea of there being demons seeing as an angelic race has been introduced. I'm not sure if it was accepted or not as of yet, but there already have been one or two applications for 'divine' characters, so it stands to reason that no one has a problem with them.

    On that note, I don't think we should remove the demonic plane, but it'd probably be more interesting to rename them. That way we could keep them and yet add in true 'demons' to the role play - if others want that added in.


    If not that, than we could probably adopt Planescape's idea of hell where there are Demons and Devils; Demons being chaotic, unruly and hellbent on anarchy. While Devils were suave, manipulative and preferred to sadistically rule over things without getting their own hands dirty. I'd think, in our lore, Demons would be what people could summon, the entities that reside in hell, and Devils would be the people who've mastered them, or something. Just a thought, though.

    I don't want to get rid of the demon plane, but I want the idea that corruption exists and that there is really a dark lord behind all the demons. But the fact is, trying to create a new version of demons as opposed to how a lot of other people see them, will be confusing and it would honestly to me mean I'd have to re-create my character all over again whom I already applied for. I had that lore accepted through my application with Pixie and so far it's worked well as well as without criticism with others.

    If you change what everyone views these creatures as dramatically, it will be confusing and it wont work. The fact that vampires don't die from wooden stakes was very hard to get my head around to be honest, although reworking the idea of demons all together doesn't work for me. I'd also dislike seeing Shanaro writing it up in the direction he wants to take it and just force it on others. I'd almost be inclined to actually just delete my character and leave if that were the case. Demons aren't meant to just be some fable class or something to be incredibly restrictive, the idea is that they are the ultimate protagonist, whom are minions under greater powers not even in a plane of our existence. Corruption is a constant issue and as one becomes more corrupt as a demon or half demon, they become more powerful, but at the same time they sacrifice free will.

    The idea that various demons could corrupt peoples minds slowly is something that could be interesting, obviously the greatest at this would be the Succubus. People could also create custom entities of a demonic nature, anything they might imagine and not have much restrictiveness to them other then "They take damage from holy water and are irritated/disorientated by chants.". The ranks I put up is an idea of how you can class regular demons, whom are just literally foot soldiers, which is probably not even going to be used. Also the idea that demons need to be summoned through IC roleplay actually defeats the ability one would have of even being able to apply for a demon or lord. Because honestly, no one is going to go through the effort of making a demon worshiping cult and no one actually wants to wait for someone to summon their character. It's better if they just say there were summoned in previous times through the application they create and depending on their skills as a roleplayer, this determines if they can have the character, not if they get lucky and some people decide to summon them on server. Rant over.

    I think that having a more detailed and rich lore for demons would be neat, but I wouldn't exactly say this is completely the best one. For one, it's really cliche. The first time I read over it, I completely dismissed it after reading the "red skin" description. There are year more creative ways to represent demons. Honestly, they shouldn't have a certain skin color or anatomy. You wanna have a black demon with goat legs and a skull for a face? Go for it. You want one made of just flesh and bones? Go for it. The traditional red devil is over used and kinda more comical than scary.

    Demons are great and all but given the current population, to many races is going to spread the current ones to thin, there should be three races, Lycans, Vampires, and Humans, who can perform magic with intense training, the more races you add, the more chance of the playerbase being spread to thin to properly represent each race.

    Actually to be honest, there's far too many vampires on the server, it's actually painful - I mean I get it, Vampire RP. But it's just staggering how many vampires you see in the same room, in like almost every room. Every confrontation you find yourself in, there is almost guaranteed to be 1-2 vampires involved in it.

    To be honest, adding some demonic characters, succubus's and more honestly, some partial demons(Like my character.). Would be great.

    Now you might think, why should we give a shit about demons? Well this community recently opened up to the idea that it shouldn't just be a roleplay about vampires and lycans, there is an involvement in magic as well as general mythology. Now here's the problem, demons are starting to rise in terms of characters, they will continue to advance. But every single demonic based character is not the same, every player has different ideals to how demons are, act and behave to eachother as well as their weaknesses / abilities. It gets very confusing(From experience) when you don't actually know how one demon interacts with the other or if certain things would / will happen. I'd rather know 100 percent about the weaknesses and various abilities / senses that at least regular demons will have.

    Although demons aren't just antagonistic as a partial or half can very well be neutral or something of the like(They can't generally be white knights, picking up rubbish, saying please and thank you, being a organ donor are a bit of a long stretch, partials can only go so far in terms of fighting their corruption as far as I know with my partial app.).

    As a comment I said I was open to feedback, although I don't actually write the red skin. I tried to explain to various characters via a /me that my partial demons skin was crusting and hardening like a lizard, then they started running around yelling "HIS SKIN TURNED COMPLETELY RED AND SHIT, HES A DEMON.". So I decided not to try fight that, but the point really is so that everyone understands demon powers, strengths and weaknesses, even if it's a barely restrictive concept. A guideline to make people have some kind of idea about how demons will work is great, honestly, I can delete this whole thread as long as we can agree on those BASIC things.

    Right now whenever I roleplay on my partial, I feel like I'm breaking invisible rules that have yet to be placed because of my uncertainty. I don't know if he can actually sense other fables or how specifically his ability to sense other demons works. Can he tell if someone is undead and how does a sense work with that, can he sense undead creatures? I've already built about his strengths / weaknesses as well as appearance through his application / discussion with Pixie, but still, I imagine some others might need even more closure then myself.

    I was told by admins that there currently are only about 5-6 active vampires and 1-2 active Lycans, everything else being demons, cursed blood, or magic users, yes the vampires that are on the server DO tend to stick together but they're often the same ones.
