    Steam Name: ToxicZombie

    Steam ID:
    STEAM_0:1:33744679

How long have you been roleplaying?:
    Forever. aka 8+ years

Any experience havng this auth before?
No, but I once saw one of those light up shirts at a vendor stand once.

    What are you applying for?:
An undershirt prototype that has UV LED strips sewn into it that can be turned off and on.
When turned on, it will emit UV light from it. The light would repel vampires at a close range. The light wouldn't be strong enough to do any significant damage unless they're very close. The lights also run on a battery, so keeping it on all the time isn't an option. There is a switch to turn it off and on to save energy. It would also be obvious someone has it on since it lights up. The most someone could wear over it is one layer of clothing or the light is blocked out too much.

    Why should you have this?:

    I rped making it.
But really, Hana is starting out her quest for protection from vampires. This is just a prototype, but she hopes to start making more. But, for now, only one.

Do you agree that you will use these responsibly, and understand these can be taken away at any time?
    You bet your titties.

I would appreciate feedback and critique if it was actually helpful.
    How is it retarded?
And they aren't on all the time, nor do they have good range.

I'd post the stuff for it, but it says I can't post links until 7 days after I registered.

I hope you guys know that UV light is actually dangerous to humans to, skin cancer and what not, if your wearing a shirt that produces UV light I better see some skin cancer RP as well, depending on how long you wear it of course.

Lol UV light doesnt instantaniously cause cancer. Beach goers and tanners would ALL have cancer.

The LEDs Hana used are long-wave UVs, as that is how they are normally sold. so, that's around 315 and 400nm, which is safe to humans. Plus, like I said, she doesn't have them on all the time. If she feels threatened or thinks a hostile vampire is near by, she'll turn it on and then turn it off when she feels safe. I looked at a bunch of websites and as far as I see, long exposure to long-wave UVs is mostly harmless, but not recommended. And she's not even using them alot, so it wouldn't be classified as long exposure anyway.

Plus, even if she was using dangerous UVs, skin cancer can take years to actually develop or become noticeable. So maybe 8 years from now I'll rp her skin cancer. Because this RP will be open that long. Yup.

There is nothing far fetched about this one, though I'd advise against complaining if a vampire still manages to pass by this defence by A: reaching out, enduring the pain, and ripping that shirt completely off of you and tossing it away.

It's suppose to be worn under a shirt, but yeah, it's probably not giving off enough light to start doing much damage if you're only near to briefly. You'd probably only start burning if you're standing really close right next to someone wearing it for a few minutes. Plus, it would most likely short out in water.

Honestly, this is nowhere near far fetched. People graft lights onto their clothes all the time, albeit mainly for purposes of entertainment.
