Any experience havng this auth before? I'd say I have more experience with this then 95 percent of the people I've met in my 4 years of RP.
What are you applying for?:
Jacob's backstory and some basic gear. A springfield XDM(9mm), a silver machete(Regularly sharpened) and a wooden knife(Made by himself). Having worked in the underground he'd encounter and learn of the various creatures, therefore the Silver Machete would work well to dismay a lycanthrope, although it's nothing that would ever kill. Even with a good swing, the machete is more of a weapon to maim. The wooden knife is just obvious, it's a knife that's made out of wood, it's a piece of handcrafted shit and will break if given enough pressure to the sides. The revolver is just regular and holds six rounds.
Against any smart/strong lycanthrope or vampire, he's going to have an extremely tough time taking them down in any kind of fair fight, even with the appropriate weapon at hand. His only real chance at taking anything like a Vampire or Lycan down would be through heavy planning, he'd most likely require assistance and some reason behind it to push himself forward. Although he's actually better with his hands then a gun, as in the army he'd only shoot at still targets most of the time and would spend more time tying his shoes then actually practicing to kill. Although working as a criminal means getting your hands dirty and beating the absolute shit out of anyone your boss tells you to, or maybe someone who cut in line in front of you.
Why should you have this?: Because I'm capable of roleplaying out the character correctly and without problems. I wont be like any AHEM other players who have military like characters that use it innacurately or for aesthetic dick swinging pleasure.
Backstory:
Jacob Blaire, born of the Blaire family, a small and poor family living within the cities outskirts, one that would force Jacob and his brother out into the workforce at an early age. Two fourteen year old kids stumbling around McDonalds restaurants, flipping burgers and occasionally hustling money from whatever high schoolers might come by. It was a hard life, but one that was always interesting and sometimes dangerous, although it was truly in the later years of their lives that it took a spin, specifically for Jacob as they would both become smugglers for a local pot dealer. It wasn't specifically bad and the person they worked for was extremely professionally, but very kind and understanding of their bad situation. He gave Jacob and his brother Mark jobs and a decent enough amount of money that they could help their parents pay the bills while still being able to grab candy or whatever food they'd want for school., no longer would they eat two minute noodles for their morning breakfast and dinner.
This of course sparked an interest in their parents, who could not understand how they could be making so much money with their job, until they found out that both boys had quit their jobs at the local restaurant two weeks ago. Resulting in their parents assuming the worst, they'd joined a gang or were dealing, which was sort of right in a way, they were tasked both to carry drugs from the supplier to their dealer. Police never searched children and it worked very well, until both children were forced to rat out on their boss by their parents. But neither their parents or the children would understand the horrible consequences of telling the police about Pete, who although was a nice guy, had to maintain a street credit for not being fucked with. Of course when the police would arrive, they'd find Pete's house only containing a smidgen of marijuana, Pete being tipped off and leaving only enough to have him convicted of possession, with no evident proof of him being a dealer.
Six months later and Blaire's neighbourhood was shot up by none other then Pete and his boys, their house peppered with Nine Millimeter rounds in something like twenty seconds. Blaire would arise to find his brother dead, his father shot in the shoulder and his mother weeping over Mark's dead body.
*Six years later*.
Jacob was now at the age of eighteen, he had to choose where he was headed in life and his graduation from highschool as well as his mediocre grading gave him a linear choice. He could work his ass off trying to climb the ladder of education to attain a degree or join the army like he'd always wanted, it was just a childs dream to fire guns at terrorists and riddle people with holes, but it was something he still wanted to do. Of course, arm life wasn't what it was cut out to be and after grueling months of training he was a Rifleman. But of course, Jacob, would regret joining the army as he would learn of his real purpose. He was essentially an officer overseas with a gun, there was no action, no one ever got any action, it was a sort of mistake of joining. Something they'd never tell him is that they'd send in the real boys, the Special Forces or the Commando's or even the Rangers to deal with hot situations. But the army? They were rarely used and the only time his Regiment would ever see action was when they were shot at, Jacob never even having a bullet scratch in any location near him.
After his minimum four years enlistment Jacob left as a Corporal and immediately was picked up by a Contractor, an old army Sergeant he'd met in his first year, who had now joined a crime syndicate in L.A. It sounded bizarre to Jacob, but his buddy made it clear that there was always action and the only people you ever killed were other syndicates, which at the time was a massive lie. In any case, the criminal organizations of Los Angelo's had a raging boner for anyone who was military, someone with professional training to kill or maim, most of them never getting to exercise their god given gifts in killing. So Jacob joined and soon became a ghost of the criminal underground, known for his prowess of death and merciless actions against whoever might come his way. It sounded like an odd career choice, something that would conflict with most men, but like anything, people change and Jacob... well, this was already cut out for him in the beginning.
*Three years later*.
Jacob is now between 26-29, working as a sort of independent criminalized mercenary, with barely enough money to pay for the fuel in his car or keep his belly full. His apartment of course would be out of town, never close to where he worked(His apartment is not anywhere on the map.), but he stocked it well. Within the apartment he'd keep some basic equipment for his work. Of course he couldn't afford a vest and even if he did, it was just a bulky piece of shit to slow him down, Jacob favoring speed over everything else.
Do you agree that you will use these responsibly, and understand these can be taken away at any time? Of course, it's to be expected.
